Christmas - with Hello Kitty and an NZ spin PDF Print E-mail

Part of this Christmas lesson has a New Zealand spin, so leave it out if thats not suitable for you... but the Hello Kitty listening exercise and the riddle are good - I also did those with ESS.

LESSON

- Distribute handout (file attached, also with the speech for listening actiavity and T/F answers)

- Students listen to a story about Christmas in New Zealand and read along, then answer true/false questions

- Students listen to a passage about whose stocking is whose in the Hello Kitty picture (JTE and ALT take the part of Hello Kitty or Mimmy). They must match the number of the stocking with the person. Read through twice.

Word activity with riddle - might need to explain what cornflakes are, otherwise the kids dont get the joke... In fact they didnt laugh when I explained it anyway... XD
