An excellent activity to practice comparatives. And easily altered to include surperlatives. Attached are 2 files. Sumo cards, print and cut (into 3).  And the worksheet (sumo statistic game).  Review all vocab and form before beginning the game.

How to play:
===================================================================================

1. Each student has a wrestler card and worksheet.

2. Students all stand up and choose a partner, then janken.

3.  Winner chooses a category and states it ot the other. (i.e: age)
 Now the winner (a) askes; "How old is your wrestler?"
 (b) replies; "wrestler-name1 is 25. How old is your wrestler?"
 (a) "wrestler-name2 is 22"
 Now the 2 children work together to form the sentence:
 "wrestler-name1 is older than wrestler-name2"   (Some wrestler have the same age, weight or height. So students may write down,  "xx is as old as bb" and get 1 point each.)

4.  Both children write this statement down on their worksheet.
 The child with the older/taller/heavier wrestler gets 1 point, the other 0.

5. Find a new partner and repeat from 2
